Slimiser uses convergent ultrasound to reshape your body — without surgery, without pain, and without any downtime.
Recognition

Slimiser is the winner of the National Innovation Competition of the French Ministry of Research.
Selected by IMCAS, one of the world's leading congresses in aesthetic and anti-ageing medicine.
Slimiser, designed and manufactured in France by Laboratoires Synthebio — certified ISO 13485 for medical device quality management — has received CE medical device marking, reflecting compliance with applicable European safety and performance requirements.

Developed through research by Laboratoires Synthebio with experts from the CNRS and the École Normale Supérieure, Slimiser's convergent ultrasound technology is protected by several international patents.
Patient Results

Objective Measurements
The anonymised Tanita report shows a progressive decrease in segmental trunk fat after treatment, with follow-up at two and then four weeks.
Data presented for illustrative purposes. Results may vary between patients.
Clinical Study
Clinical study conducted in France by an independent laboratory under a protocol registered with the ANSM.
How it works
The handpiece draws in the skin and fat for a few seconds. The ultrasonic waves converge within the adipose tissue, concentrating mechanical energy that repeatedly compresses and stretches fat cells, disrupting their membranes.
Adipocytes can increase their fat storage volume up to 100 times, or even more in cases of extreme obesity. They are created during childhood and adolescence. Under normal circumstances, the body does not produce new ones in adulthood. Destroyed adipocytes are therefore not regenerated — there is no longer a fat storage depot.
Simultaneously with the emission of convergent ultrasound, electrodes stimulate superficial lymphatic and blood circulation to accelerate the drainage of released fat, eliminated through natural pathways.
Science
Sections of fatty tissue taken from human explants after treatment show membrane rupture in adipocytes after 3 minutes of treatment.

In human explants, the increase in triglycerides, fatty acids and glycerol in the culture medium after treatment indicates measurable lipid release from adipocytes, consistent with their progressive disruption by convergent ultrasound.
Measurements on treated vs untreated control human explants.
Bars represent relative values between molecules. Free fatty acids: maximum observed value.

Continuous innovation
Enhanced protection of integrated technologies.
The integrated Artificial Intelligence module analyses tissue and automatically adjusts various parameters to deliver a personalised treatment. The A.I. optimises results and ensures consistency, while extending the range of Body Mass Index (BMI) values that can be treated.
Taking on board the requests of many patients, Laboratoires Synthebio have created new handpieces that now extend treatable areas to the arms, knees, calves, back, etc.

FAQ
The number of sessions required varies depending on body type and tissue. Generally, one or two sessions are sufficient. Additional drainage sessions using the Slimiser's electrostimulation function can be carried out once or twice a week during the following month.
Yes. Some patients treat both the abdomen and thighs in the same session, for example.
Abdomen, love handles, hips, inner thighs, saddlebags, banana roll under the buttocks, arms, knees, calves, bat wings and chest fat in men.
Convergent ultrasound enhances the recognised dermotensive effect of ultrasound. The tissue tightens thanks to the destruction of adipocytes across a significant thickness, which causes tissue retraction, accelerated by electrostimulation of the microcirculatory system. 90% of patients in the clinical study judged that the treatment had tightened their skin, and 80% noticed a reduction in cellulite.
Although fat deposits tend to be distributed differently in men, Slimiser treatment — painless and fast — is perfectly suited to men. It should be noted that Slimiser treats only subcutaneous fat (between the skin and muscles), not visceral fat.
Yes, including but not limited to: pregnancy, breastfeeding, haemophilia or clotting disorders, certain medications. The protocol begins with a medical consultation.
As with any medical treatment, every patient is unique. Results depend on several factors, including individual physiology, the thickness, location, origin and nature of adipose tissue (more or less fibrous), and how long the fat deposits have been present. A prior medical consultation therefore helps determine whether Slimiser treatment is appropriate and how to optimise results.
Adipocytes form during childhood and adolescence. Destroyed adipocytes will no longer store fat. However, a very unbalanced diet, high in lipid and carbohydrate calories, can trigger the transformation of stem cells into new adipocytes, and remaining adipocytes that have not been destroyed will continue to store fat. A further treatment may then be indicated.
No significant local or systemic adverse effect was observed in the clinical study, when used according to the protocol and in the absence of contraindications.
No: results obtained by liposuction are generally superior, especially in cases of significant excess fat. However, liposuction is a surgical procedure performed under general anaesthesia, with a heavy recovery period (pain, bruising, immobilisation…) and carries risks (nerve damage, haemorrhage, various complications).
Slimiser treatment is not reimbursed by health insurance. Fees are set freely by practitioners and vary depending on the areas and surfaces treated. At the preliminary consultation, if you are eligible for treatment, the practitioner will provide a quote based on the areas you have discussed together.
Yes. GLP-1 treatments can support overall weight loss under medical supervision, primarily by acting on appetite and satiety. Slimiser addresses a different need: targeting localised areas where subcutaneous fat or tissue laxity may persist despite weight loss.
After significant weight loss, certain areas can remain difficult to reshape — abdomen, love handles, thighs, arms or knees. Slimiser can then be considered as a complementary treatment to improve body contour, firm tissue and target specific areas, without surgery and without any interruption to daily activity.
Yes. GLP-1 treatments (Ozempic, Wegovy etc.) can lead to significant weight loss, often around 10 to 15% of body weight depending on the patient and treatment. However, this weight loss is global: it does not always target the areas where localised fat deposits persist.
Slimiser can then be considered as a complementary treatment, once weight has stabilised, to address resistant areas — abdomen, love handles, thighs, arms, knees or back — and contribute to tissue firming (arms, thighs, abdomen...). Treatment should always be preceded by a medical consultation to verify the indication and any possible contraindications.
Laboratoires Synthebio were founded by and with doctors who have worked in private practice, fully aware of the financial pressures involved. We offer arrangements that allow you to equip your centre with no upfront capital investment, thanks to our partnership with a financing organisation*.
This enables our partner practitioners to offer Slimiser treatment to their patients without impacting their cash flow.
